Nina earned her MFA in Film Production from the College of Motion Picture Arts at Florida State University in 2006 where she began her career in Film. After graduating she moved to New York to intern and work as an assistant at the production office of Focus Features.

Shortly after, she completed a short entitled "Ruyah Zahir" which was a finalist in the Bluecat Short Screenplay Competition and has screened at several festivals and received multiple nominations.

Several of her other scripts have gained contest recognition, including "Sicilia" which was selected for the 2009 NALIP Latino Screenwriter's Lab. She then received her WGA card for her accomplishments in screenwriting.

During her time in New York City, Nina also production managed including the Gigantic Pictures produced Carlos Cuaron film "Second Bakery Attack" with Kirsten Dunst and Ryan Geraghty.

In February 2010 Nina relocated to Los Angeles where she works as a filmmaker and videographer, directing promotional videos, shorts, web videos, content for actor's reels, and more. Nina is also a graduate of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Imrpov Comedy Program and a 2011 Fellow of the NALIP Producer's Academy.
